Kristina ``Tina`` Groves
Kristina Groves is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Amethyst Center for Healing who completed her Bachelor’s of Social Work and Master’s of Social Work at the University of Utah. She specializes in domestic violence and substance abuse.
Tina is a member of the Ute Indian Tribe and a descendent of the Hopi Tribe.
She comes from a family of social workers, teachers and helpers on both sides of her family and was raised to give back to her community. Kristina has worked as a therapist at the Urban Indian Center of Salt Lake supporting individuals and families to create balance, healing and connection to community and culture. Her experience has taught her that healing is an individual, unique process that rarely takes a direct path.
Kristina has served as a task member for Utah’s Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives Task Force and as an adjunct instructor at the University of Utah’s MSW program. She loves attending powwows and community events, movies, concerts and the occasional piece of frybread.
